John Sillings Obituary

John O. Sillings

Green Hill - John O. Sillings, 77, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019. He was born on January 19, 1942. His parents were the late Lawrence and Virginia Sillings of Fowler, IN.

He graduated from Fowler High School in 1961. Received his Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture in 1969 and his Master of Science degree in 1971 from Purdue University. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in June of 1964. He was self-employed for several years, worked for Orville Redenbacher/Hunt Wesson in Brookston and retired from ConAgra Foods in Monticello. John enjoyed golfing, bowling and gardening.

He is survived by his wife Pam, two daughters; Tina (Mel) Snodgrass of Fowler, IN, Dawn Burns of Otterbein, IN and one son; Darrell (Veronica) Sillings of Bronson, MI. and five grandchildren; Kyle, Shelby, Harrison, Morgan and Kayla.

Visitation will be from 11am until the service at 1pm on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Windler Funeral Home, Fowler. Burial will follow in Fowler Cemetery.
