Joyce Kay Price Trimble, 71

Joyce Kay Price Trimble, 71, of Rolla, MO passed away in Detroit, MI while traveling with friends on September 28, 2016.

She was born in Frankfort, IN on February 2, 1945 to William Arthur Thomas Price and Kathleen Cohee Price. Her father preceded her in death.

Joyce earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Purdue University and a master's degree in Special Education from the University of Kentucky. She taught in St. Louis for two years and then in the Rolla School System for three and a half years. Later she was Assistant Director at the Choices for People Center in Rolla.

She married the love of her life Selden Y. Trimble on June 7, 1970. They were blessed with two children.

Joyce had a unique zest for life, an insatiably curious mind, many interests, talents, accomplishments, and endearing characteristics.

She loved her friends and family dearly. Perhaps her greatest role was as a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She was their biggest champion; a coach and cheerleader all wrapped into one. She listened, doled out advice, and loved deeply.

Left to mourn her loss are her husband of 46 years, Dr. Selden Y. Trimble, Rolla; two children, Kathleen Trimble, Somerville MA and Selden Trimble, Sioux Falls SD; her mother, Kathleen Price, Frankfort IN; sister, Judy (Phil) Michal, Crawfordville IN; sister-in-law, Ridley (Fred) Virdeh, Los Gatos CA; nieces and nephews, other extended family members and many, many dear friends.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Joyce Trimble will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 29, 2016, in the chapel at Wesley Manor in Frankfort IN, with Rev. Darla Goodrich presiding.
