Kyle McAfee Obituary
Kyle Edward McAfee, 72, of Oxford, died at his residence 10:25 a.m. Tuesday, January 1, 2013. Kyle was born in Tazewell, Tenn. November 4, 1940, son of the late John Edward and Marie Sulfridge McAfee and attended Claiborne County, Tenn. Schools.
He served in the US Army from 1960-1964, and retired from the Benton County Highway Department.
Kyle married Joyce Lee Whitaker in Caliborne County, Tenn., January 9, 1964, and she survives.
Surviving beside his wife, is a son, Thomas McAfee of Oxford; a daughter, Dewanna Lank (husband Gary) of Oxford; three brothers, John McAfee (wife Edna); David McAfee (fiancé Kim); Jesse McAfee (wife Janie), all of New Tazewell, Tenn., and a sister Edith Collingsworth of Tazewell, Tenn. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren, Mindy Hanley (husband Phil) and Wayne Lank (wife Shana). He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister and one brother.
Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, Oxford. from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday. Funeral services at the funeral home 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Larry McMillan and Pastor Henry Bell, Jr. officiating, with interment in Justus Cemetery. If friends desire, memorials may be made to the Oxford Church of Christ or the Independence Baptist Church. Memories and condolences may be left at www.hahngroeberfuneralhome.com.

We are thinking of Joyce, Dewanna, and Tommy at there time of need. Kyle will be missed by many especially the children who went to daycare and called him Papa Kyle.
