Just trying to help out with your family and Mark’s photos.

I don´t know this to be a fact, but with all these guys smiling and laughing, it´s a pretty good guess that Mark´s timely inspirational words of wisdom had a lot to do with it.

So sorry for your loss and Mark´s passing. We were friends, shipmates on the U.S.S. Blue Ridge LCC-19, in Yokosuka, Japan, and teammates, 1979-1981. Everyone enjoyed Mark´s friendship; I didn´t know anyone who didn´t like Mark as a person or as a shipmate. Mark played an inspiring third base for the travel club. If you could hear laughter and not see where it was coming from, be assured that Mark was at the center of it sharing an off-center moment. Several teammates were told, "Get a damn haircut and get on the straight and narrow (path)". We got our haircuts. Afterwards, Mark said with a sheepish grin, "...Oh... That makes more sense. I thought he said to get a haircut straight like an arrow...".
....That was Mark.

Corb was a good friend during our days together during high school at CC in Lafayette. Mark was a year younger than me but he was always kind to everyone who met him.

Coming from the North end and St Lawrence, " Corb" was one of the first classmates I met at C.C. After converting him into a Cardinal fan,..we became great friends that shared a similar sense of sick humor that only grew. His mom & dad, sister, brother, etc treated me like gold. Springing him from Great Lakes Naval Basic Training Graduation set in motion a series of epic road trips and "experiences" that I will be forever grateful for. Those include; Driving to the San Diego Navy Base to pick him up from Japan. Multiple Cards, Bears, Boilers, Ky Derbys, bowl games, golf, baseball, fishin', campin ', etc etc...I could go on & on & on & on. He may be gone from here, but he's laughing hard. We'll miss ya Corb. I just hope others have a fraction of the laughs and memories we shared. A great friend, Thanks Corb !!!
