Nancy Jo Lynch

Nancy Jo Lynch, 72, of Lafayette, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015 in IU Health Arnett. She was born on October 7, 1942 in Lafayette to the late James Edward and Nina Helen (Hague) Anderson. On October 17, 1964, she married James David Lynch at St. Mary's Cathedral in Lafayette; he preceded her in death on October 31, 2014. Nancy worked as a custodian at Purdue University Airport for 25 years. She had previously worked as a nurses aide for Americana. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and attended St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Nancy loved to decorate cakes and make candies. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, painting, gardening, and canning. She was known for her homemade Christmas gifts, making popcorn balls for the neighborhood children, and cooking from scratch.

Surviving are her children, John Edward Lynch (wife-Krystal) of Lafayette and Tammy Jo Lynch-Sanders (fiancé-Harald Wagner) of O'Fallon, MO; sisters, Julia Lee Miller and Helen Elaine Tudder, both of Lafayette; and a brother, Ronald Edward (June) Anderson of TN. Also surviving are grandchildren, Joshua Allen Sanders and Rebecca Nichole Sanders and 7 step grandchildren, Mande, Samantha, Bonnie Williams, Adrian, Lydia, Madelyn, and Julian Gaeta. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, James David Lynch and her parents.

Rosary will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Fisher Funeral Chapel, Lafayette with Services following at 5 p.m. with Father Jeff Martin officiating. Visitation will be held after services on Thursday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel. Inurnment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Almost Home Humane Society or Natalie's Second Chance Animal Shelter. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. You may light a Candle of Hope in remembrance of Nancy and sign her online guestbook by visiting www.fisherfuneralchapel.com.
