Joseph Beasley Obituary
He was born May 5, 1965, in Raleigh, NC; son of Joseph and Sue Raynor Beasley.
A celebration of Joey's life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 5, 2017, at Swansboro First Baptist Church with Dr. Larry Harper officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Monday, November 6, 2017, at Seaside Memorial Park in Swansboro. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, November 4, 2017, at Jones Funeral home of Swansboro.
Joey was a long-haul truck driver and mechanic up until the time of his father's death at that time he decided to stay at home with his mother and sister and concentrated on being a mechanic, but that didn't stop him from volunteering with the community. He loved serving in his church as an usher and a cook for everything that went on at the church.
He is survived by mother, Sue R. Beasley of Swansboro; sister, Cindy Paredes of Hubert; nephew, Tyler Paredes of Hubert; uncle and aunt, Gene and Becky Davidson of Rocky Mount; cousin, Michael and Erin Davidson and their children, Owen and Carson Davidson of Nashville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Leroy Beasley Sr.; and his step daughter, Brandi.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Joseph L. Beasley Scholarship Fund c/o Swansboro First Baptist Church, 614 W. Corbett Ave. Swansboro, NC 28584 or to Fish Strong Foundation, 3100 Freedom Way Hubert, NC 28584 or to the Western Carteret Fire and EMS, 140 Sherwood Ave. Cedar Point, NC 28584.
