Helen Doris Price

The world lost a little bit of its light on August 14, 2025, when Helen Doris Price, 91, passed peacefully from this life, surrounded by loved ones at the Phil and Flo Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR. She was born on October 13,1933, to Herbert and Edna Walker of Nettleton, AR. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 68 years, Dalton B. Price, two brothers, James Floyd Walker of Nettleton, Richard Walker of Stratford,MO, and her sister, Peggy Brooks of Jonesboro. She is survived by two daughters, Debbie (Faris) Lassiter and Patti Price, two grandsons, Joshua (Tiffany) Lassiter, and Jarrod (Shelley) Lassiter and six great grandchildren, Sarah, Ashton, Bryson, Lucas, Riley, and Dakota Lassiter, all of Jonesboro, AR. She leaves behind several special nieces and nephews and a very special sister-in-law, Karla Walker of Stratford, MO. Helen spent her life raising a family, serving others and pursuing a love of auctions, estate sales, and antiques. She was an avid basketball fan, enjoyed playing cards, and never missed an opportunity to spend time with family. Helen was a member of Southwest Church of Christ and spent her early years working with the youth at church and in the Girl Scouts as a troop leader. Helen spent twenty years in Mt. Home, AR, as the business office manager at Baxter Regional Hospital before returning to Jonesboro in 2003. While in Mt. Home, Helen and Dalton opened an antique store, Back in Time, that brought her many years of pleasure. A celebration of her life will be held at Southwest Church of Christ, Saturday, August 23,2025.
