Peggy Colbert Obituary

Peggy Louise Colbert, 75, peacefully passed away on August 22, 2025, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. Peggy was born in Walnut Ridge on July 14, 1950, to Betty Wilson. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents. Peggy was born and raised in Northeast Arkansas, where she led a simple, private life. Peggy was known as the boss. She worked as a secretary for her husband's company, Colbert Concrete, and also spent many years with the Crowley's Ridge Development Council. Peggy enjoyed her time with friends and family, and she was especially fond of her pet cats. Peggy is survived by her husband of 27 years, Harry Colbert of Jonesboro; her Aunt Linda Chapin; one niece; and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones. A visitation will be from 1pm to 2pm on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Emerson Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow the visitation at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
