WALNUT RIDGE - Carolyn Belle DePriest, 90, of Walnut Ridge, entered into her heavenly home on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Place in Jonesboro. She was born on Dec. 18, 1934, to William "Bill" and Mable (Jones) Flippo. She was united in marriage to Eli Don DePriest on Nov. 12, 1952, in Paragould. Carolyn was employed as an office manager for the Poplar Bluff Chamber of Commerce during her life, and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi. She was a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church in Portia. Carolyn treasured her friends and family, loved celebrating holidays and birthdays with them, and also enjoyed playing golf.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and her sister, Merilyn Adams.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Evans (Steve) of Bono and Marsha Brewer (Rick) of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Jason Lunn, Cara Shirai, Amy Shell, Beth Hook, and Jana Crowell; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, Aug. 24, from 1 until 2 p.m. in Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge, with funeral services to immediately follow at 2 p.m. Roger Honey will officiate. Interment will follow in the Oak Forest Cemetery in Black Rock under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Satoshi Shirai, Jason Lunn, Bryan Hook, Brandon Crowell, Dewayne Gillean, Justin Shell, Steve Evans, and Rick Brewer.
