Derick Hampton

MONETTE - Derick Lyle Hampton, age 66, of Monette, passed from this life Monday, Aug. 18, 2025, at the St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. Son of Callie Yates Hampton and the late Donald Hampton, he was born in Monette and raised in Manila. He was a graduate of Manila High School and had been a Monette resident for the last 37 years. Derick worked in the maintenance department for Brown Shoe Factory and Butterball, where he later retired. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include: His wife of 37 years, LaDonna Hampton of the home, one son, Robert Aaron Hampton of Monette, one daughter, Crystal Hampton of Leachville, his mother, Callie Hampton of Manila, four grandchildren, Katelyn Hampton, Kennedy Hampton, Emily Atchley, and Amber Bice, two great-grandchildren, Weston Atchley and Everett Atchley.

Funeral Service will be on Monday, Aug. 25, at 2 p.m., at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila. Burial will follow in Macey Cemetery in Monette. The family will receive visitors Monday from 12 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
