JONESBORO - Martha Kaye Welch, 70, passed away on Aug. 10, 2025, at Flo & Phil Hospice House. Born in Jonesboro to the late Leland and Martha "Toots" Hill Anderson, Kaye lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication. She was a God-fearing woman with enormous faith and read the Bible every day.
She worked as a secretary and sales representative for Boise Cascade, and later served as the executive secretary at FedEx, where her professionalism and warmth left a lasting impression. Kaye found joy in gardening, decorating, and spending time at the lake. She was an avid Razorback fan, cheering passionately for both basketball and football. She also enjoyed playing golf and never missed a chance to go shopping with loved ones.
Above all, Kaye cherished her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, William Welch of Jonesboro; her sister, Connie Anderson Wood of Jonesboro; her son, Brandon Guy Jarman of West Memphis; her daughter, Carly Welch of Atlanta, Ga.; her niece, Mandy Breaker of Jonesboro; and her great-niece Mia, also of Jonesboro.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 20, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the mausoleum at Jonesboro Memorial Park. A memorial service celebrating Kaye's life will begin at 11 a.m., followed by interment.
