Joseph R. Patrick

Joseph R. Patrick, of Enfield, entered into eternal life on Jan. 15, 2010, at the age of 72 at his home. Joseph was the beloved husband of 43 years to the late Donna Mae (Bickford) Patrick (Aug. 30, 2002), and son of the late Ernest and Cecile (Tremblay) Patrick.

He was born on Dec. 17, 1937, in Berlin, N.H., and had resided in Enfield for the past 45 years. Joseph served his country honorably from November 1956 to November 1960 with the U.S. Air Force. Prior to retiring in 1993, Joseph was employed for 30 years with Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. He was a communicant of St. Martha Church, Enfield. Joseph enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family especially the grand and great-grandchildren. He leaves behind many fond memories for his family to cherish.

Joseph is survived by a son, Michael Patrick, and his wife, Lori, of Venice, Fla.; three daughters, Lori Nowak, and her husband, Alan, of Rockledge, Fla., Heidi Kinney, and her husband, Richard, of Enfield and Heather Underwood, and her husband, Marc, also of Enfield; his 10 beloved grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers, Norman Patrick and Paul Patrick, both of Sarasota, Fla., and Roland Patrick of Berlin, N.H.; along with many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may gather with his family during calling hours from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 19, with the procession forming by 9:15 a.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels to St. Martha Church for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery, Enfield.

Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the American Red Cross, 209 Farmington Ave., Farmington, CT 06032-1955.
