Madeline Wohllebe Obituary

Madeline L. Wohllebe
Madeline L. (Baronti) Wohllebe, 77, of Stafford Springs, CT passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at Johnson Memorial Hospital surrounded by the love of her entire family. She was born in Stafford Springs, daughter of the late Enorio "Mario" and Caroline (Tamborini) Baronti. Madeline is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Wayne Wohllebe; two daughters, Tammy Waddock and her husband Stephen, and Tara Gottier and her husband Jim; and three grandchildren, Alexa Waddock, Maria Plasse and Evan Plasse. Many will remember her cheerful presence years ago at the National until they closed, and then for many years as a teller at Worker's Federal Credit Union in Stafford.
Madeline was a beloved wife, mother, friend and Mimi who touched the lives of everyone she met. Her life was a testament to unconditional love, selflessness, and joy.
Madeline was a woman who lived for her family. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel special, always putting the needs of others before her own. A talented cook and baker, her home was filled with warmth, laughter, and the mouthwatering aromas of her incredible cooking. She delighted in sharing her talents in the kitchen, spreading happiness through each dish and treat. She had a special passion for animals, Disney magic, and the cherished tradition of baking her famous Christmas cookies. Those who were lucky enough to receive her homemade cookies, Birthday cakes, lemon bread, whoopie pies and other amazing baked goods knew that they were little pieces of her heart, shared with love.
Madeline had a deep love for animals, especially her precious Tiffany, Gracie and Toby. Her loyal companions who had brought her so much joy. She also had a special connection with the wild bunnies in her yard, who waited for her each day for their carrots-a testament to her nurturing spirit and the way she cared for all living creatures.
Among her many roles, her favorite was being a grandmother, a role she embraced with unmatched pride, devotion and joy. Her grandchildren knew her as their biggest cheerleader, fiercest protector, and most loving Mimi.
Madeline will be remembered for her kindness, her infectious smile, her incredible hugs, and her unwavering dedication to her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Though our hearts are broken that she is no longer with us, her spirit will live on in every holiday gathering, every cherished recipe, and every magical Disney memory.
Rest peacefully. You were the heart of our family and brought love and light to everyone and everything around you. Your spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
