Martha Szymanski Obituary

Martha (Frey) Szymanski, 89, of Kensington, beloved wife of the late Felix Szymanski, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at her home with her family at her side.

Martha was born in Poland on April 1, 1925, and lived in New Britain for 16 years before moving to Kensington where she has resided for most of her life. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Berlin, and she loved to crochet and knit, including mittens, socks, and sweaters.

Martha is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Hughes, and her husband, William, of Coventry; two sons, Karl Szymanski, and his wife, Joan, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Bernard Szymanski of Arvada, Colorado; four grandchildren, David, Sydney, Ronald, Tionna; and a sister in Germany.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at 11 a.m. at St. George's Episcopal Church, 1150 Boston Turnpike (Route 44), Bolton. Burial will follow in New Cemetery, Coventry.

There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. George's Episcopal Church Memorial Fund.
