Timothy Wilson Obituary

TIMOTHY JAY WILSON, 32 FREEPORT - Timothy Jay Wilson, 32, of Freeport, passed away in his sleep and awakened in Heaven on August 5, 2013. Born December 2, 1980, in Monroe, WI to Dennis J. and Gail (Fogel) Wilson. Tim was a 1999 graduate of Freeport High School. Tim was employed in the local music and entertainment industry. He attended Park Hills Evangelical Free Church and the Evangelical Free Church of Lena, as a child. He later attended First Baptist Church in his teen years and helped to build a mission church in Mexico with his Youth Group. Tim enjoyed music and time spent with his friends and niece, Eva. He followed the Cubs and Bears, but was a sweet soul and kind-hearted guy with a soft spot for all animals. His sense of humor and gentle nature will be remembered as much as his appreciation for the simple things of life. He will be deeply missed by those who survive him, his parents, Dennis Wilson of Freeport and Gail Hunter; his brothers, Travis and Todd; half-sister, Paige; grandmother, Margaret Fogel of Freeport; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his grandparents, Kenneth and Eleanor Wilson and Homer Fogel. Visitation will be Friday from 3-7 p.m., with celebration of life service on Saturday at 1 p.m., with Pastor Kelvin McGee, at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home, Freeport, IL. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport. In lieu of flowers, at the request of his family, a memorial has been established in his name. 2 Peter 3:8
But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
Time speeds on...
Borne away from sin and sorrow
To a better home above...
One year has passed, since that sad day
When our Tim was called away;
God took him home, it was His will;
Within our hearts, he lives still.
His smiling ways and pleasant face
Are a pleasure to recall,
He had a kindly word for each
And died beloved of all.
He bade no one a last farewell,
He said good-bye to none;
The heavenly gates were opened wide,
A loving voice said, "Come".

Our family circle has been broken,
A link gone from our chain;
But though we're parted for a while,
We know we'll meet again.
Some day we hope to meet you, Tim.
Some day, we know not when,
We shall meet in a better land
And never part again.
We shall meet with many a loved one
That was torn from our embrace;
We shall listen to their voices,
And behold them face to face.
Sunshine passes, shadows fall,
Love's remembrance outlasts all.

Thank you to everyone who has kindly remembered our son and brother, Tim, in numerous ways, since we lost him.
God broke our hearts to prove
He only takes the Best!
We smile with tears we cannot hide
We thank you for the years we shared
The love you gave, the way you cared.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Of all the unfair things in life, to be a parent and to lose a child is the most profound loss of all! You can be assured that God is very close to you and He is there to comfort you in your grief.
I remember Tim when he was a little guy at church. He kept escaping the nursery to go find his mom, who taught a Sunday school class. Eventually, she let him stay with her class instead of taking him back to the nursery.
He was a hand full, I can tell you!
To all of Tim's family, my hope is that you find the bridge from sorrow to joy, when it is time to remember and celebrate Tim's life without sadness. But be assured that you will be in my prayers in the days ahead.
Yours in His Peace,

Baxter Family

Tim, my little brother. We stood by each other through thick & thin. If you were in any trouble, you called me. When I needed help, you were there. I had to come home, my first night back you took me out to cheer me up. Our last night out, I was with you. I'm still with you brother. It seems that fate is being cruel to me that my first night back and your last night among us was with me, but I wouldn't have it any other way. We're brothers, we always have been, we always will be.
I hope it's bright where you are, things are strange and everythings changed.
I don't know what's worse, seeing you leave or watching you go.
I love you and miss you.

My heart hurts, and I truly wish the comforting of GOD be upon the Wilson family in this most difficult time. I can remember as it were yesterday that Tim and I had conversations from time to time in high school. Keep smiling from above Tim, you truly left us too soon...

In Memory of my sweet son Tim:
You came into my life when I was searching for answers. When you were five months old, I could have died from a life threatening condition most women could not survive. When I prayed to God for me to live, because you needed me, I miraculously woke up alive following emergency surgery.
You were an advanced learner and put your mind, heart and soul into your pursuits in life. I'm glad we traveled together on your first trip to California and your first flight, ever.
You loved the US Marines but football injuries took that dream from you.
Your friend David finally gave you the Marine patch you wanted so badly, so now it is yours. Salute!
I met many of your friends and they all said you were a loyal, "go to"guy who also offered help when you were aware of circumstances that create burdens. I couldn't be prouder that you,Tim, paid attention to spiritual lessons which made you a decent, thoughtful man. And the sense of humor which probably was a buffer for awkward situations~ or intentional, to deflect prying minds. Either way, you will be missed forever. You are unforgettable!
I pray for all of your friends to find comfort in knowing that you were a Believer. The love you gave unconditionally came from a bigger Source, a well-spring of joy and confidence that inspired others and amazed some. Even when you knew you were right, you could prove your point through patience and time.
You forgave those who hurt you while they pushed agendas against your personal right to keep yourself safe and uninjured. You always were able to rise above pettiness.
There is a higher purpose and reason which we may not see? But Tim, my "Peacemaker Warrior" lives in my heart endlessly!
You touched many lives and through this loss (Heaven's gain) have sown seeds in hearts, while on this earthly plain.
I will see you again, Tim, in Heaven...
LOVE MOM

They will not be judged guilty,
