Fred and Family: I was so saddened to learn of DeeDee's passing. I always had a great deal of respect for her which only increased as I witnessed her deal with your illness as she did silently with her own. I am sorry, Fred!

Dee Dee helped my husband and I find our first home in Lincoln. She was so caring and willing to walk us through our first experience as homeowners with such patience and sincerity. She took us to Woods Brothers late in the evening so that we would have the chance we needed. I still remember her warm, inviting smile. I am so sorry for your loss. My sympathy to your family.

Fred, Bob, Ariadne, Shaine, Livia and Family:

We are so deeply sorry for your loss. We wish so much that we could be with you today to share your grief and help shoulder the burden. DeeDee was such a warm and genuine person. Whenever I met her she greeted me with a warm and hearty welcome, she always made me feel at home. Although I only met her a few times it was obvious to me how much she loved her family. I know she will be greatly missed. We keep you all in our hearts and prayers.

Dee Dee was a true leader and knew how to get things done! So grateful to have had the 2007 reunion with Dee Dee shining brightly as usual. Looking forward to the next 'reunion'--- we'll all get together! May God be with your family.

When I first got my Realtors' license, I wrote an offer on one of Dee Dee's listings and she invited me to her home to go over the offer, showing me how it was done, pointing out a couple of errors I had made, and did it all so graciously I remember it to this day. She took time to show someone new and nervous how to do the job the right way, and did it in a way that didn't make me feel small--I will always appreciate that. Dee Dee was a lady and a professional and truly a class act.

I was blessed to work with Dee Dee at Woods Bros. Realty. We must have had a similar work schedule because we'd always be working on the computers at the same time. Dee Dee would joke, "We really need to quit meeting like this". I enjoyed her stories about her years in real estate. She shared one about showing a home and there was a pet bird in the house that landed on her head. I could just picture her standing there with her buyers, being the forever professional that she was and having a bird sitting on her head. She also shared a saying with me that I think of often and share--"No good deed goes unpunished"--this in regards to trying to please and sometimes you just can't do it in our real estate profession. Dee Dee was a positive lovely person. She would talk with great pride about her family, and always put her clients needs first. She was always there to give words of encouragement to others. She will be missed. Kim Skillett.
