My heart was heavy when I heard the news of Dorithy's death. My entire family was so fond of her and she was a wonderful friend and confidant to my grandfather, Norman Otto. He indeed is missing her. God Bless her family and friends.

Oh, our dear friend and enjoyable campaigner during the days at the Governor's Mansion with Pat and Jim Exon. We loved Dorithy's smile, quiet giggle and cherish the memories we shared on the Nebraska "trails".... Our love, sympathies and blessings to her dear family.

As a representative of the Flatwater Waves Unit #98, I express our condolences to the family of Dorithy. She belonged to our WAVE group, but we didn't have the opportunity to see her much. I am sure she had an interesting History story to tell.

Dirk & Elisabeth, Kim and Brad~
Dorithy taught us so much during our time together in DC. We Nebraskans were family there. We were at dinner together and toasted Elisabeth's birth, and Dorithy was "Grandma Dorithy" to our two daughters when they were young.
Although we didn't stay close, Dorithy was still our good friend. We will miss her, as you will.
We hope, as you celebrate her life now, you know she was loved by many of us.

Dear kids - I am her cousin Jolene (Johnson) Anderson from Gothenburg Nebraska. Yes she was a classy lady - as a child she was always the elegant one to come from the "big city" to see Grandma and the family. I stopped to see her at her new apartment about 4 years ago and we had a great visit! At the time she was the youngest most beautiful 80+ lady! I told her I hoped that it ran in the family down to MY side! And she moved there because of the SWIMMING Pool - now that definitely is a passion of mine! Afterwards we kept in email contact some. I student taught at Millard Leflefler and ran into - was it Brad? She never forgot that! I will not be able to attend the services but will have you all in mind. I do hope you will share an email address so that I can keep updated with you on family tree additions as she was always so good to keep me informed. She shared some stories about your father and his war experiences with me. She was going to provide me a copy of her parents wedding picture which we never got done. But what a wonderful exciting lady - you will miss her dearly! I would also appreciate a copy of her entire obituary. Jo - RR 1 Box 102 Gothenburg 69138

What a classy, elegant woman! And incredibly proud of her children. As Kim always says... a role model for all of us.

It is difficult, I know.
Your mom was just a sweetheart, and so very kind. (Especially to our mother, Claudelle Gerlach).
May all the great memories she left you begin to comfort. "Be of good courage..."

Kim,
Although it has been more than 30 years since we have communicated, I would like to offer my condolences.
What I recall is that you had a very close relationship with your Mother and this event should not be the end but a new beginning of wonderful memories that you will carry with you for a long time. I hope you all celebtate her life this week and share old stories of days past.
Your Ex-neighbor,
Don (zoe)
