Paul Stryson Obituary

Paul Stanley Stryson, 88, Seward, died Saturday (6/23/07). Born July 5, 1918, in Seward, to Dr. Claude Charles Stryson and Laura Gertrude (Johnson) Stryson. Graduate of Seward High School, 1936. Graduate of University of Nebraska. Married Emily Jean Hughes of Seward in Oklahoma City on May 9, 1942. World War II veteran, U.S. Army Air Corps. American Legion Post 33 and life member of VFW Post 4755 in Seward.

Retired supervisor at Hughes Brothers, Inc. of Seward. Member of First Presbyterian Church, Seward. Boy Scouts of America, an Eagle Scout and former Scout master of Troop 256 for many years.

Survivors: daughters, sons-in-law, Stanley J. and Robert Rediger, Lincoln, Leslie P. and Dr. Charles Juricek, Vacaville, Calif.; sons, daughter-in-law, Paul H. Stryson and Matthew C. and Tammy Stryson, all of Seward, John A. Stryson and friend Lori Soulliere, Brighton, Colo.; grandchildren and spouses, Greg and Jean Rediger, Davenport, Iowa, Mike and Shawn Rediger, Seattle, Ben and Alison Juricek, Santa Barbara, Calif., Tristan Juricek, Vienna, Austria, Courtney Juricek, Vacaville, Maggie Stryson, Seward; great-grandchildren, Ryan Rediger, Michael Rediger, Elizabeth "Elsa" Rediger, Signe Rediger and Valentina Juricek; sister, brother-in-law, Lucille and Robert Lipps, Lincoln; sister-in-law, brother-in-law, Lois "Petie" and Jack Dedrick, Encinitas, Calif.; sister-in-law, Lois Stryson, Mesa, Ariz.; many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: wife, Jean; parents, Dr. Claude and Laura Stryson; brother, Claude Donald Stryson; sister, Mary Ann Wangsgard; infant grandson, James Rediger.

Private family memorial service at a future date. Memorials to donor's choice in care of the family. Condolences at www.woodzabka.com. Wood Zabka Funeral Home, Seward.
