Bob worked with me at Lincoln High School in the 1990's. What a treasure trove of information he had! He and I were paired for several classes and he had excellent skills in dealing with hard to manage behavioral students. I was always glad to see that were sharing the duties of teaching a class in the community--like Transportation class where we taught students how to maneuver the Lincoln City bus system. At other times we shared classes set in different areas of the University of Nebraska, teaching students job skills and on the job behaviors. His expectations were high and his humor helped manage some difficult situations. I always appreciated his skill level.
After retirement, we kept in touch and I have several of the books he wrote--he was a man of many skills. I want to express my condolences to his loved ones and family. Alice Philippi, retired educator, LPS

Bob was a dedicated human service worker. He was always willing to volunteer to go on trips through The Arc, and was especially skilled at not being in any pictures. This picture shows his patriotism during the National Anthem in KC. He was a good man, and was a walking encyclopedia! Bob gave me his infamous "sunflower shirt" and I cherish it to this day! His spirit lives on!
