Henrietta Butterfield

RACINE - Henrietta (nee: Bonkowski) Butterfield, 91, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2007, at Wheaton Franciscan Health Care-All Saints. She was a lifelong resident of Racine, born on May 27, 1915, to Frank and Wanda (nee: Podzinski) Bonkowski. In Racine, on May 22, 1937, Henrietta was united in marriage to Richard Butterfield. She loved playing cards with her friends, especially her longtime and dear friend, Lorraine Podhola. Henrietta also enjoyed playing bingo at the Labor Center. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, William (Susan) Butterfield; three grandchildren, Jeffrey (Gina) Butterfield, Kelly (Jeff) Egresi, and Tracy (Dennis) Haas, all of Racine; six great-grandchildren, Ryan Ventura, Drew Egresi, Tommy Moreno, Dino Ventura, Emily Egresi, and Tiffany Butterfield; and her 105-year old sister, Mae Ostaski of Albuquerque, N.M. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard on August 5, 1977; two sisters; three brothers; and two special nieces. Funeral services will be held at the Hanson Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 17, 2007, at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday before services from 12:30 p.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Memorials to one's favorite charity have been suggested.
