Herman Dahl Obituary

OMRO - Herman W. Dahl, 84, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2010, at Omro Care Center. Herman was born on February 2, 1926, in Columbus, the son of Herman F. and Ruby (nee: Griffin) Dahl. He had married Agnes Pedretti in California and on August 24, 1995, he married Frances (nee: Holt) Matz in Ixonia. He served in the United States Navy during World War II as a Medic in the Pacific Theatre. Herman had been a Locomotive Engineer for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad. He was a member of the Union Grove American Legion Post. Survivors include his wife, Frances of Omro; his children, Mary Sinco of Houston, Texas, Joseph Dahl of Mississippi, Edward Dahl of San Antonio, Texas, Patrick Dahl of Kansasville, Ann McAtee of Henderson, Kan., Theresa Moore of Greenfield, Texas, and Carol Burke of Racine; numerous grandchildren and great-grand- children; two brothers, Red Dahl and Hughie Dahl, both of Delavan; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Herman Dahl; his parents; a brother, Kenneth Dahl; and a sister, Carol. Family Funeral services have been held. My sympathies and prayers are with you at the loss of Herman Dahl. May your faith and good memories support and comfort you in your time of grief.
I was in Milwaukee at the time of his son Herman's death and so attended the funeral.Also more recently attended Agnes Pedretti's funeral in Genoa

My thoughts and prayers are with you all in this time of grief. I remember your Dad well from when I was a little girl and my family would come to visit yours on Easter. Aunt Agnus and Uncle Herman were one of my favorites and my sisters and I always enjoyed playing with you all.
