James O. Zaden

SOMERS - James O. Zaden, 81, passed away at home with wife Penny Ann, the love of his life, at his side. He was born in Green Bay on November 2, 1933, son of the late Joseph and Agnes(nee: Nelson) Zaden. After graduating high school, Jim served 3 years in the Marine Corps from 1951 through 1954.Jim was a Racine area resident for most of his life. He retired from Kenosha Labor Trades Union in 1996. He also worked as a floor finisher for Dennis Mailand. Jim is survived by his loving wife Penny Ann Zaden; daughters Kath (Jim) Syring, Cher (Harold) Garner; special granddaughter Hayley Syring; step-sons Keven (Cheryl Valente) Winters, John (Jill) Winters, other grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nephews, and a very special niece Joan Stone. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Earl Zaden and Donald Zaden; and sisters Mildred Coleman and Florence Boyce. A memorial service for Jim will be held in the funeral home at 10 am on Thursday, August 6, 2015 with Rev. Dr. Warren Williams officiating. Visitation will begin at 9am. Jim will be laid to rest with military honors at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery at 9 am on Friday, August 7, 2015.
