Alice Knickelbine Obituary

Knickelbine, Alice E. (Nee Hatcher ). Found peace and eternal life on November 18, 2016, at the age of 98. She was born in Joplin, MO to parents Margaret (nee Roberts) and Frank Hatcher. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Elmer "Nick" Knickelbine of 67 years, as well as brothers John (Kathy) and William Hatcher and sister Mary (Al) Klotzbuecher. Alice is survived by her daughter Kay Fenico, granddaughter Sarah Fenico and grandson-in-law Jeremiah Hayes, as well as her brother Gordon (Marion) Hatcher and sister-in-law Sharlene Hatcher. Alice was an aunt to many nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews. She was a member of Westminister Presbyterian Church for 70 years and was a member of the Church Women United of Milwaukee as well as a member of the Chapter W-PEO since 1973. Alice graduated from Riverside High School in 1936. She had many friends and was referred to as "the mayor" by her family because everywhere she went she would bump into someone she knew and was always willing to have a conversation with them...she will be dearly missed by family and friends. The family requests memorials in Alice's name be made to the Luther Manor Foundation, 4535 N. 92nd Street, Wauwatosa, WI 53225; Wauwatosa Presbyterian Church, 2366 N. 80th Street, Wauwatosa, WI 53213; Chapter W-PEO, Attention: Treasurer, 4816 N. Woodbury Street, Whitefish Bay, WI 53217. Memorial service to be held at a later date.

Millie, Bev and I will miss playing cards with our dear friend Alice who was a very enthusiastic player, as well as a great lady, and lots of fun to be with.

You have lost a dear mom and grandmother, but happy memories are gifts that death cannot destroy!
