Betty Fountain Obituary

Fountain, Betty Lu (nee Kraus) Entered into eternal life through her journey of faith on January 20, 2013, at the age of 90. Resident of Freedom Village in Bradenton, FL, formerly of Winter Park FL and Whitefish Bay WI. Best friend and beloved wife of Robert Fountain, Sr. Loving and devoted mother of Catherine (Jere) Rice, Robert (Fayanne) Fountain Jr., Margaret (Tom) Barr, Elizabeth Vink, Ann (Tom) Pitcock, and Michael (Kim) Fountain. Proud Grandma of Shawn and David Rice, Lorrie Romeo, Jill Tomlinson, Steven Barr, Jennifer Hatajik, Kristin Broda, Nathan Vink, Erin Woods and Sarah Pitcock. Dear sister of George and Robert Kraus, Theresa Pandl, and Dorothy Thompson. Preceded in death by her adoring husband Bob, loving sister Terry, and precious daughter Peggy; further survived by nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, other relatives, and many, many dear loving friends, both in Milwaukee and Bradenton. Betty Lu was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who touched the lives of all she met. She devoted her life to her husband and children, and, after losing her husband, and for the remainder of her life, continued to act as both an encourager and mentor within the family. She always spoke fondly of her childhood and family life, growing up in Whitefish Bay and the time spent at St. Monica's, Holy Angels Academy, and Marquette. She remained close to all her siblings as an adult. After Bob passed, she moved to Bradenton as a single woman and with her strong spirit and beautiful persona established a wonderful life filled with caring and devoted friends - a truly blessed woman. A memorial service will be held at St. Margaret Mary Church in Winter Park, FL on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 10:00 AM. Interment at Palm Cemetery will be private for the family. Memorials in Betty Lu's name may be made to St. Margaret Mary Church, 526 N. Park Ave., Winter Park, Florida, 32789

Betty was a dear childhood friend of my mother. May the two friends find their way to each other in heaven.

Grandma Fountain will forever be missed. I have comfort knowing she is with my mother, Margaret M. Barr living eternally.

Mrs. Fountain was a kind and caring woman with a beautiful smile. I met her as a child when the Fountain family lived on Kent Avenue in Whitefish Bay. Deepest sympathy to all of her family.
