Carroll Romens Obituary

Romens, Carroll F.Age 83, was called home to the Lord on Thursday, February 12, 2015. Devoted husband to his late wife Nancy (nee Novotny), Carroll is survived by his seven loving children Rick Romens, Rorie Ainbinder, Bobbie (Dave) Meulendyke, Ron (Beth) Romens, Randy (Jill) Romens, Rita (Joe) Maiorelle, Roger Romens, his 17 precious grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and is preceded in death by a sweet grand-daughter. He will be missed by his brother, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and friends. Carroll proudly served our country in reconnaissance missions for the US Army during the Korean War. After returning home, he became a Master Plumber and owner of Romens Plumbing & Heating, Inc for 35 years. Special thanks to the staff at McKinley Place Assisted Living in Cedarburg and the ICU and Palliative Care units at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center for their compassionate and loving care. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, 5000 W. National Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53295. Carroll's life will be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary Church, 3970 North 92nd Street, Milwaukee on Friday, February 20 with a Memorial Gathering from 9:30 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM.

Cousins, I was very sorry about Uncle Carroll. While I didn't see him much in his later years (thank goodness for the reunion!), he was always a hoot to be around. I share your pain in his passing.

Space does not permit us to tell you what good times your Mom, Dad Lu and George had together We are in Alabama and won't be able to attend Carroll's funeral. We'll see you whenever we can.
