It is hard to believe you've have been gone so long. We miss you but I think you wouldn't like this world we are living in . Oh Gregor, How can 13 years have passed since you left us ... It seems like yesterday as I look outside here in Virginia that I was trucking through the snow to visit you at The VA hospital. But here we are 13 years later still remembering you.. I know your heart was huge and you carried a lot of love for people you cared for and even those no one else would bother with . Feb 14 is usually a day that people celebrate with loved ones; this is no different when thinking about you, but it is certainly yet a tough pill to swallow on this nite, year after year...U are deeply and greatly missed; I'l always regret,and everyday wish i was there more for you.. ironic it is, u always had a heart of gold,helping others... and we lost u on Valentines Day..

As we approach Valentine's Day and looking back on Greg's final days with us, I am thinking all about where we were two years ago and about Greg's life. Even after two years, it hurts as if it were yesterday but I pray that angels surround him, he is blessed and happy beyond all measure for all the pain and loneliness experienced during his lifetime and that he and my dad walk arm-in-arm. Love you Greg.

God Bless all of you as you mourn the loss of such a great man. Although Tom and I had spent very little time with Greg over the years, we always remembered him with a smile. Always as a friend. He was a kind and gentle man and I'm glad that his pain and suffering are over.
The last vision I have of Greg was when we were all together at Grant Park this past summer. The band was playing and the children were running amuk and Greg was smiling his biggest smile. We will forever return that smile till we meet again.

I would like to share this with Greg's family & friends.
As most know Greg served in the United States Marine Corps, 2nd Palatoon, India Company, 3rd Battalion 1st Marines (India 3/1) and was in Vietnam in 1966 - 1967.
While in Vietnam Greg received the Purple Heart for wounds that he received in combat. Greg was also awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal W/2 Bronze Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unite Ciatation (Gallantry Cross Medal with Palm), Presidential Unite Ciation Ribbon and the Combat action Ribbon.
It was an honor for me to have served with Greg and call him my friend. We spent some very long nights in some very dark, wet & bug infested places (oh, the enemy was there also) but with Greg's humor those scary nights passed much faster. (I'll never forget those mosquitos Greg)...

Dear Aunt Dolores,Pam,Debbie and Kevin.
Words cannot tell you how sad We are about the loss of a fine man and a terrific SOLDIER. All a person can pray for when our time is here to leave this world and move on to the next is to have FAMILY by your side. Everyone of you were there every step of the way to help him thru this transition. What a fine family you are. I know he would be saying, " Thank you and ....I'll be waiting till we are all together, once again." His aunts, uncles and friends are up in heaven welcoming him.
