Jack Miller Obituary

Miller, Jack (John R.) Of Oconomowoc Lake. Flew off into the heavens March 19, 2007 joining his infant daughter Jane and daughter Mary Miller Lange. Husband of Avis. Father of Mike (Mary Anne) and Patricia (Saul) Winsten. Grandfather of Michael (Cheryl) Lange and Laura (Travis) Lange Aasen; Matt, Dr. Maren and Kate Miller; and David, Ben and Jenny Winsten. Great-grandfather to Zac and Katherine Aasen, Dan and Jake Eutizzi and Alex Lange. Brother to Dr. Daniel Miller and Mary Hanneken. International gear expert; engineer; inventor; designer of cars, boats, airplanes and odd contraptions; WWII veteran; Irish wit, to match his Irish tenor; writer; chef; golfer; world traveler; photographer, artist and musician. Jack was a visionary who always wondered, "what if?" and questioned, "why not?" We didn't always understand him, but enjoyed going along for the ride to see just where his endless curiosity, creativity and intellect would drive him next. True to form, Jack defied all medical expectations to his last moments. The family expresses profound gratitude to the valet, receptionist, ER team, physicians and ICU angels at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital. We would appreciate memorials in Jack's name to Ronald McDonald House Charities. They can be sent to the family, funeral home, or to RMHC, One Kroc Drive, Oak Brook,I IL 60523. Please specify Jack's name and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile program in the note line of your check. Private services were held.
