John Danes Obituary

Danes, John E. Age 57, passed away in his home on January 31, 2015, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Kathleen for 14 years. Loving father of Amanda (Tommy) Dysland, Lisa (Michael) Endl, Ashley (Garrett) Knoop and stepdaughter Lindsey Steele. Proud grandfather of Aiden John, Taylor, Carter and Laney. Dear brother of Frank (Patty), Laurel (Edward) Walkowiak, Kenneth (Sandy), Carl (Laurie) and sister-in-law Lorinda Percifield. Fond son-in-law of Marlene Iverson. Preceded in death by his parents Eldred and Margaret Danes and father-in-law Richard Iverson. Veteran of the U.S. Navy. Dedicated employee of We Energies for 29 years. A caring man who valued his family, worked hard and lived a life of selflessness. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed spending time at the "Man Hut" and the family lake house. Although on this earth for a short time, he leaves a lasting impact on the lives of many. A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, February 7, from 10 AM-12 noon at SOUTHBROOK CHURCH, 11010 W St. Martins Rd, Franklin. Memorial service will begin at 12 noon and is followed by Military Honors. If you wish to make a donation, please consider Children's Hospital of Wisconsin or the Special Olympics.
