My sincere condolences to Jack's wife and family. I had lost touch with Jack totally since ur graduation from Wesleyan where we were both classmates and members of the Pre-ministerial Club. While Jack was at Yale Divinity School, I was at Union Theological Seminary in NYC. I was an Episcopal priest like Jack (still am, but retired now), and even served in Diocese of Washington, DC but at a different timer than Jack. I had not known of his death until today, when I discovered that sad news as I sought on line to know if there was any connection to Jack with the Neil Gorsuch of Colorado. So Jack's death was a surprise to me. I am sorry not to have kept in better touch with him as a college classmate, to my great regret. My memory is dim, but do remember Jack as a great man at college. Sadly, we were out of touch with each other after graduation. Now I find we were both active in the same profession/calling as priests in the Episcopal Church. I am sure the trumpets sounded for him as he arrived in heaven, and pray his wife and family are well-supported by the prayers and condolences of all who knew Jack. May he rest in peace, and light perpetual shine upon him. Sincerely,
William D. Underhill

Sending my love and condolences to dear Bev, Meg and Ann. I worked with Jack as secretary for seven years at Epiphany Parish in Seattle. He was a wonderful man, and is surely now soaring in spirit.
