Lauren Hueffner Obituary

Hueffner, Lauren M. Of Bristol, WI. Age 12. Passed away unexpectedly due to complications with diabetes, Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. Lauren was born in Racine, October 4, 1994, daughter of Craig Hueffner and Lisa M. (nee Lieungh) Turner. Lauren was attending Bristol School in the Sixth Grade. She enjoyed being with her friends, talking on the phone and instant messaging. She was on the Bristol Basketball Team and Honor Roll at school. Even though she was 12, she thought she was the "mom" to her baby brother, Aiden and sister, Leah; always attending to their every need. She loved to scrapbook, read, shop, listen to music. She loved to play tennis and swim. She just lived to be with her friends - friends were everything to her! She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed. Survivors include her parents, Lisa (Ryan) Turner, Craig (Ellen) Hueffner, her brothers, Connor and Aiden; her sisters, Leah and Tera; her grandparents, Marie Hanson, Jeffrey Lieungh, Robert (Joan) Hueffner, Derrick and Debbie Turner, and Ronald and Suzanne Ahnert; her great - grandparents, Joyce (Tully) Volpintesta, Helen (Stellman) Lieungh, Helen (Lui) Kober, aunts and uncles, Julie Hueffner, Keith Hueffner, Ryan Lieungh, Anne Ahnert, other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Anthony Volpintesta, Thor Lieungh, William and Rita Hueffner and William Lui. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Friday, November 3, 2006, 1 PM. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Friday at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until time of service. Memorials to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation have been suggested. Lisa and Craig wish to extend their deepest gratitude to Elena Calhoun, nurse practitioner at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin for her loving and compassionate care given to Lauren. Hello Hueffner Family~

I had the pleasure of meeting your daughter her first year at Lions Camp. I was the volunteer in her cabin and I have seen her every year since. I remember the fun times we had and the memories we had shared. No words can express my sadness for the lose of Lauren. As you know she had a love for friends and a special enthusiasm for life in general that I wish more people would have. I want you know, Lauren always had a smile on her face when ever I saw her and that is how she will be remembered. Lauren had a special way of making everyone share her positive energy. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered. You are in my thoughts!

I had the opportunity to work at Lions Camp this summer and meet your amazing daughter. I too attended diabetes camp when I was younger and know that Lauren loved it as much as I did. I know that Lauren is in a better and special place and for the short time that I knew her, she was a very special girl and will be missed by many.
My deepest sympathies.
