Dear Susan, Meghan, Sarah and O Love,
I can't believe a year has come and gone. I hope you have all found the comfort that you needed in your time of need. One day we will all be together again having dinner and enjoying each-others company like we did not long ago. To my brother Howard keep all those great memories alive of you and Manny.
Love you all, Auntie Shari

Manny was a big man with an even bigger heart.

He coached my boy's basketball team at St. Sebastian back in the mid-80s.

He was an extremely generous guy who taught me a lot about life through hoops.

Thanks for making such a difference, Coach.

Rest In Peace

I have many fond memories of Mr. Miramontes coaching my junior high girls basketball team at St. Sebastian's. He and his wife Judy were always to kind to us, especially hosting the entire team for an annual sleepover at their house. RIP Coach.

RIP Big Man. Can't thank this man enough for the guidance and direction he gave to me as a coach and administrator with the Wisconsin Shooters. He has been reunited with loving wife Judy at last just in time for the NCAA tourney which they spent many years in Vegas watching and betting.

My prayers are with Susan and Manny's loved ones. Many years ago, Manny and I worked in a small Milwaukee grocery store. Manny was a great mentor. He was intelligent and had a kind heart. He was the life of the party and a joy to be around.
May he rest in peace.

I went to high school with Manny's daughter, Susan.
I remember going over to the Miramontes house and spending hours coloring in the labels that were to be used on the taco chip bags for his latest business. In the good ol' days before everything went automatic.
Sue- you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Cherish his memory.

Manny
My dear friend I feel very sad you're gone, but happy to know some day when we see each other again our friendship will be even stronger. By now you, Judy, and Grandma Ruth have been reunited and the fun started so enjoy your little piece of heaven. I'm so proud to have called you my friend, boss, father in-law and grandfather to my wonderful girls who love you very much. 30 years ago I had no idea how important and significant you would become in my life. You not only taught me but showed me how to be a better man, father, business owner/manager and mentor. We spent some great times over the years from working together on Christmas Eve running a Manny's route, sharing a room together in Vegas (what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas), my Bachler party, the wedding and even a few Irish whiskeys over the years. In my eyes you are a legend not only for what you did but what you left behind for so many to smile about. I'm not prepared to say good bye to you this coming Saturday but I'm willing to saysee you later friend.
Love you big guy with all my heart and thank you for being you.
Howard

To the family of Manny Miramontes,
Manny attended the same grade school that I went to, Gesu Grade School. He was a little older however he was a great basketball player and friend of Father Mankowski. He always had a smile and friendly hello to everyone. My condolence in your loss . My prayers and thoughts are with you . May your special memories that he left you with sustain you in the days a head.

Susan...

Your Dad (and Judy) were such welcome additions first to my customer base, but then, soon, to me personally. My Saturdays were much more unpredictable once they brought their unique brand of joy to "lunches with Mary!"

We became friends quickly, and they made it clear they cared about my family, my dogs, and me as if I were family myself. We spoke of our Wauwatosa connections. We talked restaurants. We shared jokes. We discussed travel. We laughed ourselves silly those afternoons, and those around us joined in often; it would have been futile to resist!

I was fortunate to be able to meet and enjoy the company of Manny's family, as well, and all have been nothing but lovely to me and also welcome additions to my life.

So, thanks for sharing your kind, gregarious, larger-than-life Dad with me. We had such fun together!

Love to all -- Michael and family -- and to you, Susan, as you honor your Dad and set about getting used to life as it is now while relishing the memories of life as it was then.
