Peter Bartell

1949 - 2018

Bartell, Peter of Juneau, WI, classic car lover, connoisseur of cold beer, and self-proclaimed brawler found peace on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at age 69. Pete was a funny man who never met an inappropriate joke he didn't share and instilled in his children this same important value, along with the gifts of sarcasm, cursing with flourish, and unrelenting stubbornness. In some circles, he was known as "The Commissioner of Paddle Pool" and was known for his perfectly coiffed hair. He was a quick-witted, intelligent man, who served his country in the US Air Force Reserves, 440th Airlift Wing. He may have had his flaws, but always had a big heart and a soft spot for babies, dogs, and especially his children. He has been reunited with his parents, Alvin and Anna Bartell (nee Rosandich). He leaves behind his children, Tracy Bartell, Peter Bartell (Holly), as well as his grandchildren Austin and Brynn Bartell, of whom he was extremely proud, and ex-wife Paula Heitzer, whom he never stopped loving. He will be deeply missed by his brothers and sisters, Al (Carol), John (Rosie), Steve (Jeanie), Mary Ballering (Forrest), Dick (Wendy), Joey, and Ree Schmitz (Dan). More than likely he is dancing somewhere right now, has had a beer with his grandpa Peter, and has, hopefully, finally met James Brown. He is loved by his family and will be missed very much. Pete has been cremated and a private memorial will be held for immediate family at a date to be determined
