I miss him dearly.

Phil was a kind and generous man who we were very lucky to have known and loved. We feel a loss and guilt inasmuch as we didn't see each other in the past several years; we regret that. However, we will remember him always as the good man he was who had some very bad luck and challenges he tried to conquer. That pains us a great deal. We had hoped to attend the memorial services, however, we just returned from Mexico and need to self-quarantine. While we both have recovered from the virus, it is prudent for us to stay away from any group gatherings for a period of time. Our sincere condolences to his children and their families. We hope you find comfort in knowing the soul of your father was good and decent and recognized and that he loved each of you very much.

Phil McGoohan worked hard to boost his adopted hometown and State.
Thanks to him, his family and friends for Phil's efforts to improve the Wisconsin economy in his volunteer roles at Forward Wisconsin in the 1980's and 1990's and in his twenty-year stint on the Neighborhood House of Milwaukee Board and Honorary Boards. Phil guided Neighborhood House as its President (1983-1987), including successful efforts to create an endowment fund at the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, a financial asset that still supports our NH families to this day. We remain forever grateful.
Rest in peace, Phil.

I adored and admired Phil. We were on the w.h.brady foundation board and worked together for many years while Elizabeth Brady Lurie was the chairman. We did charitable gifting to the Milwaukee area and we were influential in United States public policy.
