Been thinking about my friend, Susan, quite a bit lately as I've been cleaning out my parents' house which is 2 blocks from where Susan lived as a kid. Remembering the fun we would have at her house playing kickball in the alley with neighbors, doing backbends on her front lawn, playing board games in the family room which were stored in the cupboard there, seeing her grandparents who lived upstairs. And her mother always neat and tidy and always nice to me, and her happy father. Susan reading her Nancy Drew mysteries. Lots of happy memories of those early days. And then later quilting together, baby girls the same age (Jill and Sara), dinners together as couples, etc. Love to you all.

Being a friend of Susan's since 3rd grade, I am so saddened to return from a trip and find that she is gone and I have missed honoring her memory and offering my condolences to Jill and Lisa, her mother, and her sister, Sandy. I am so sorry for your loss. I will miss her too as she has been my friend for some 56 years.

I worked with Sue at EMH on the surgical unit. I was always impressed with her devotion to each patient she cared for. Just watching her taught me much. Maggie Blair
