Tom Cianciolo Obituary

Tom "Tommy" John Cianciolo

Brookfield - Cianciolo, Tom "Tommy" John, of Brookfield, entered God's loving arms on Friday, December 11, 2020. Tommy was born on October 29, 1944 in Santo Stefano, Sicily to the late Calogero and Serafina Cianciolo. As a young boy, Tommy and his family came to America via Ellis Island and settled on the East Side of Milwaukee. His strong Sicilian heritage led Tommy to work hard in his pursuit of the American dream and become the proud owner of ABC Vending for over 25 years. Although Tommy loved Balistreri's pizza, dancing, and reminiscing about pickup games at Cass St. playground, there was nothing he loved more than his 4 children. He was there to cheer them on during their sporting events, twirl them around the dance floor, and support them in all of their pursuits, of which he was so incredibly proud. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Susan (née Ligocki); sisters, Nina and Fina; brother, Libby; daughters, Sally, Danielle (Joe Thorpe) and Carolyn; son, Nicholas; grandson, Harrison Thorpe; and many sisters- and brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews. Tommy's family is grateful for all of the physicians and nurses that have cared for him over the years, especially those at St. Luke's Hospital. Tommy will be dearly missed but will live on in the hearts of his children and all those who loved him. Please join the family in celebrating Tommy's life on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, with the eulogy starting at 9:45am and a Memorial Mass at 10:00am at St. John Vianney Catholic Church (1755 N. Calhoun Rd. Brookfield, WI 53045). The service will be livestreamed on Youtube (https://youtu.be/aTC-srLGHWQ). Tommy will join his parents at Holy Cross Cemetery and Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, please consider becoming an organ donor and giving the gift of life, a gift Tommy was so fortunate to receive. To make a monetary donation to St. Luke's organ donation foundation in Tommy's honor, go to www.aurorahealthcarefoundation.org, click 'give now' on the top right, select 'other' in the program section and write in 'transplant.' I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. I met Tommy when I worked at Citgo of New Berlin. I was also his seamstress and sad I hadn't heard from him in awhile. God's blessings to all for your comfort during this difficult time.

To the family Tommy, Please accept my deepest sympathy on Tommy's passing. An old friend of my day's at cass st. playground on the east side. I remember him riding on his bike, wearing his motor cycle cap, wanting to be Johnny in the "Wild One" Great times and great memories. Thanks Tommy

We smile when we remember meeting at St. Joe's when Danielle and our son Andy were born on the same day. (Of course, Frank knew Tommy before that.) Love, prayers and our sympathy to your family.

Your dad was a wonderful caring man . I have known your dad since we were freshman at Messmer. First as home room classmates to basketball teammates. His welcoming smile will be missed. I know he is shooting baskets on St. Peter´s All Star team with his good friend Rich. God bless you Tom..
