Fr Vince was a wonderful priest and a great human being. Our time as parish members at St Philip Neri were made so much more enjoyable by his caring ministry. Our son was only 3 years old and yet he remembers Fr Vince. His years in the Dominican Republic just showed what an outstanding person he was. Our lives are so much better having know Fr Vince. God blessed all of the St. Philip Neri parish in Milwaukee by giving us Fr. Vince for those few years long ago. We remember him well. May God bless Fr. Vince as he joins his heavenly family.

Vince was a class mate at St. Lawrence Seminary 1960 - 1964 and a great friend over the years even though our paths seldom crossed once we were adults. I still have a Christmas card he sent me many years ago that I had to think about before it's message hit me. It was a pair of sandals with the saying "He who fashioned the Mountains, put on Sandals" Like me there was a certain unconventional quality about Vince that often caused his superiors to be uncomfortable and not see his many great gifts. He spent his life serving the simple and less fortunate in life.

Father Vince was a great family friend. My Grandmother Lois Olson and Great Grandmother Kathryn Olson kept in touch with him through the years until there passing. I remember those years at St.Phillip Neri and all the letters and pictures he sent while in the Domican Republic.
He also baptized both of my girls Adelynn (2) and Gabriella (4) while at St.Margaret Mary's parish.
He will be greatly missed.
