William Diedrich Obituary

Diedrich, William J. Entered into Eternal Life on July 1, 2006 at the age of 59 years. Longtime resident of Shorewood. Beloved and devoted husband for 30 years of Gerri (nee Moriarty). Loving father of Bill Jr., Wayne, Warren and Wendy. Dear brother of Marilyn (Guilio) Tanel and Pat (Don) Engelbert. He is further survived by many other relatives and wonderful friends, all of whom will deeply miss him. After serving a five-year electrical apprenticeship Bill started his own business, Diedrich Electric Inc., as a Master Electrician serving mainly the North Shore area. Bill had a true love for his family and for life. He had a great sense of humor, many jokes to tell and the gift of telling one-liners, with quick comebacks. He also had a genuine love for animals. Bill was very active in his Shorewood community, politically and volunteering. He served on the Board of Appeals for nine years and twenty-five plus years heading the Shorewood Police Auxiliary. He most recently served as a Police Commissioner. He was the Electrical Inspector for Shorewood and Commercial Inspector for Whitefish Bay. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 6, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Feerick Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 7, at 10:00 AM at St. Robert Catholic Church, corner of East Capitol Drive and North Farwell Avenue, Shorewood. Interment at Wisconsin Memorial Park will be private for the family. Memorials in Bill's name may be made to the Milwaukee Humane Society, 4500 West Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee, 53208. We have a wonderful photo of Aaron (approx 10 years ago) beaming in your driveway after Bill set him up for his first ever Toro blower job. We will carry those memories with us forever. They will be treasured, preserved in our minds, and help bring comfort. Our deepest thoughts and prayers to Gerri, Bill Jr., Wayne, Warren, and Wendy.

Uncle Bill was a bright light in all of our lives. His light shone in his love for his wife and children, his faith, caring for family and friends, and in his strength and humor. He really was "Diedrich Electric". His light will be miss by all of us. Our love forever to him and his family. Gisele, Jerry, Courtney and Bradley
