Hassan Bani-Saaid

Hassan Bani-Saaid, 49, a native of Patterson and a resident of Houma, passed away at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, after a four year battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Kellie Dolci Bani-Saaid; children, Layla Grace Bani-Saaid and Tyner Kinnie Bani-Saaid; parents, Habib Bani-Saaid and Cathy Dolen Gutierrez and Sergio Gutierrez; brother, Hamid Bani-Saaid; in-laws, David Dolci and Jackie Dolci, Carol Tyner Wengert and Brent Wengert; lifelong best friend, Jonathan Bryant; and many extended family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Howard Dolen and Simone Dolen; and paternal grandparents, Muhammed Bani-Saaid and Miriam Bani-Saaid. Hassan was a 1994 graduate of Patterson High School. Hassan will always be remembered as an avid tennis coach and player. He began playing at twelve years old and continued for 30 plus years, making lifelong friendships and taking great pride in being able to coach his children tennis. Hassan expanded his tennis career to Juneau, Alaska coaching and managing the tennis club there. Hassan also had a passion for cars and traveling, which led him to hike the Grand Canyon and Mount Zion, also traveling to Rome, Spain, Western U.S., Caribbean, and many other places of his dreams. All who knew Hassan know he was a quiet and selfless person who was kind hearted, funny, and focused. He loved being a father, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. A gathering will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 92 Wayside Dr, Houma, LA, 70360 from 11:00 am till 3:00 pm.
