Brandon J. Blaylock

Blaylock, Brandon J., age 39, of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, died Tuessday May 26, 2015. had an adventurous life, although it was cut short unexpectedly. He was a musician, an IT technician, a tap dancer, a scuba diver, movie director, bartender, a clay potter, a property caretaker, and an expert on fine whisky and beer. He loved jazz and blues with an African influence, and you could occasionally find him playing with a group in Chicago. Brandon loved hiking and camping in the Rocky Mountains, especially in the Green Mountain Falls area where he lived for a while. Brandon also considered himself a gourmet cook, and his famous gumbo would stay with you for days. He was a graduate of Wichita East High School and went to Wichita State University on a percussion scholarship. Brandon loved his brother, sister, cousins and his friends of which he was blessed with many. Survivors include his father, Stephen (Janese) Blaylock; mother, Sandy Blaylock; brother, Chris Blaylock sister, Skylar Denae Blaylock; former stepmother, Sabrina Blaylock; aunt, Mary C. Varnell; and cousins, Christina Louise Daley, Michael G. Schutte, Jr and Cody Harper. Visitation with the family present will be 5 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Cochran Mortuary, 1411 N. Broadway. (Parking from Market St.) Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Grace Presbyterian Church, 5002 E. Douglas.
