Dolores Elizabeth Cool

Cool, Dolores Elizabeth was born in Garden Plain, Kansas on October 7th, 1932 and entered into Heaven surrounded by her loving family and friends on January 18th, 2018. Dolores was a working mother from the beginning, but was always the consummate homemaker and mother to her eight rambunctious children. She managed to maintain her sanity in part during those years by taking motorcycle trips all across the country with her husband Don Cool as well as taking the whole family almost every summer on vacations to Beaver Lake Arkansas. Upon their retirement from the Coleman Company Don and Dolores began making woodcrafts and traveling to local events to sale and show their works and it was during this time Dolores grew into a talented painter bringing their crafts to life. Dolores and Don also loved traveling to the Texas Gulf coast during the winter months where they lived in their RV and enjoyed the company of the other "Winter Texans" especially during happy hour. Dolores had a blessed life with her husband, children and grandchildren who were all truly blessed to have her in their lives. Dolores was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Donald E. Cool, daughter Jardice L. Bates and son Duane E. Cool. Dolores is survived by her sons Darwin E. Thompson, David N. Cool and Daniel E. Cool, daughters Delaine M. Holland, Diana M. Cool and Donna J. Walling, 18 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Rosary 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2018 Mass at 11:00 a.m. both at Church of the Resurrection 4910 N Woodlawn, Wichita, 67220, internment immediately following at Kechi Township Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Resurrection Catholic School.
