Gilkey Family--There will never be another Mother Gilkey...she led by example, how to be good stewards to God and good wives to our husbands. Mother and Bishop were an Ideal couple..she loved God, Bishop, her family and the church. Mother loved life and lived it to the fullest. We are so thankful for our time at St. Mark under the leadership of Bishop and Mother Gilkey. She was a First Lady with charater. Her quiet spirit was most notable. She has left a favorable impression on the Kindle family. May the peace of God carry the family through this time of sorrow.

I am so grateful for the visit I had with Mother Gilkey on May 11, 2012. It will always be remembered in my heart. The one thing that will stand out for me about her is that when I first met her, me and my children were always welcome in her home and when I moved away and came to visit that last time I was welcomed in the same gracious way. To Bishop and her family, I love you with all my heart. Thank you for sharing Mother Gilkey with me and my family for so many years. Our prayers are ever with you.

I prayed with Allen Gilkey that God will strengthen the Gilkey family when mother Gladys Gilkey was in the hospital. Now that mother Gilkey has passed away to be with Our Lord, I pray that God will send a comforter to the Gilkey family. You all are like family to us! Mother Gilkey always looked for me in every meeting. She counted on me being their for her if she needed my medical assistance. She not only asked about me, she included Tramelle and of course my Mom. As difficult as it may be, rejoice in the Lord. Her labor her love for Christ and others have been rewarded. What a beautiful, kind, and gentle soul. Those are just a few words to describe Mother Gladys Gilkey. A strong woman who loved God and her family. No one could "Bless your heart" like Mother Gilkey and no one could say Can't nobody do you like Jesus, can't nobody make you feel like the Lord". She always said she wanted to see the Lord's face in peace and hear Him say "Well done thy good and faithful servant enter into the joys of the Lord" Well done! Mother Gilkey a good and faithful servant. Bishop, Eld JC, Eld Allen, Pastor Mark, Pam and Tina though she is absent in the body, Mother Gilkey is present with the Lord and at rest. God Bless the entire family. Love you and praying for you.
