Jane Meyer Obituary

Meyer, Jane M., age 76, of Wichita, KS, formerly of Strong City, KS, died Thursday, February 5, 2015, at Meadowlark Adult Care Home in Wichita. The daughter of Kenneth and Florence "Flo" (Crum) Clark, she was born October 17, 1938, at Fort Smith, AK. She graduated from Strong City High School in 1957 and attended Emporia State College for one year. She and Raymond L. Meyer were married August 31, 1958, in Strong City. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2010. She worked at Wescon Products as the Human Resources Manager. She is survived by two sons: Steve Meyer (Jackie) of Wichita, KS and Gary Meyer (Nancy) of Monett, MO; one brother: Keith Clark of Salina, KS and his four children; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Clark. A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, February 10, at 10:00, at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls with Mr. Floyd Dorsey officiating. Burial will follow in Strong City Cemetery. The family will meet friends Monday, from 6:00 until 7:30, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, to Amedisys Hospice of Wichita may be sent in care of the funeral home, 201 Cherry St., Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845. I worked with Jane at Wescon Products quite a few years ago. I treasured her as a co-worker and friend. I was fortunate enough to visit her recently at Meadowlark. My sympathy to her family.

Dear Clark Family,
I am so sorry to learn of Jane's passing. As the only other girl in her class at Strong City Elementary so long ago I know she was a wonderful lady and will be sorely missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family.
