I knew Josh for a short time but I knew him to be a kind, loving, giving compassionate person. He had just started getting his life together and was doing amazing. Josh had plans for him and his sister. Josh was nothing less than a hero. He died protecting someone much loved by many, an honarable way to die.
Josh rest in peace until one day we get to all laugh together again. Im so sorry this happened to yu. Yu didnt deserve it. Im sorry the world has to miss out on what yu had yu had for it.
- Much love

I was close to Josh since he was 13 and he lived with us when 16,17, and 18. After moving out he returned to visit many times so I knew his daughter and her mother. Josh was deep, he was spiritual, he was a loving person. He showed a special kindness toward the less fortunate. He was patient with others and tried not to hurt anyone. He had an easy laugh and could be hilariously funny and entertaining. He had artistic skills, and wrote expressively about his life experiences. He was appreciative of those who helped him along in his life and he expressed his love easily. I can not begin to fathom him being gone, especially the way he left. I can only deal with the hurt a little at a time. My deepest sympathy to his family. I still love you too Josh. Byron

The day we came home from the hospital with our beautiful baby...you still have your hospital band on..such a proud dad!

I knew Josh through my children who knew him at a time when he was just discovering Jesus and the life Jesus had for Josh. I could tell from first meeting Josh that he loved Jesus. I am so glad that such a fine young man like Josh is in Heaven, where we will see him again. Thanks Josh for letting us get to know you as much as we did. Father and Grandfather

Josh..I cant believe this...it just keeps gettin more and more real..and just when i think my heart is done falling out..somehow someway i see something or somebody or think about you in some way and it gets hard to breathe and my heart starts to beat really fast and the tears come...its not giving me much hope that this is gonna get easier..i cant begin to tell you how thankful i am to have experienced a big part of my life with you the love we shared was indescribable but it was real our daughter was conceived in true love..Josh no one can ever take the spot in my heart where you will live on for as long as I do...Watch over our babygirl and enjoy watching her grow..she will know how much you loved her...
Until we met again-

Joshua will truly be missed. I enjoyed celebrating life on earth with him and anticipate the day to see him face to face with Jesus. I miss hearing you read your bible out loud in the middle of the night. I miss hearing your jokes, cleaning your messy clutter in your room and sharing stories about life. Joshua...you are a great man! I am praying for the family during this tragic time. Love you lil bro.
