Mr Munger was a brilliant and inspiring teacher and this came not only from his immense knowledge of the Biological Sciences but also because he cared so much for his students and put real heart and soul into his teaching. He created a lasting love of learning and science that I continue to have 29 years later. Although this is a difficult time for his family please know without any doubt that Mr. Munger truly made a difference to many, many students and in making that difference made the world a better place too.

Earl, It was a pleasure knowing your acquaintance both at St. Andrew's & earlier at N.K.C. High School. I had Mr. Arrington (The Mad Scientist) as my biology teacher, but your presence in the the early 1970's was well known. In later years I reconnected with you at St. Andrews. Even though some years had passed, you were the same man, which is a great testament to your humility. We never saw you in a bad mood. You were always approachable and had a kind heart to all.
The French say it best. Until we meet again.
Sincerely,
Mary Jo & John Hopkins

I have never known a more powerful teaching example as he was always in a good mood and ready for whatever the day brought. I will miss him dearly and appreciate having in my life first as a teacher and then as a colleague. I am so sorry for your loss.
