HERB: I TALKED JUST A FEW MONTHS BACK IT SEEMS LIKE WONDERING WHAT HAPPENED TO OLD WHAT'S HIS OR HER NAME. THEN A LITTLE WHILE LATER ONE OF US WOULD THINK OF THEIR NAME, AND MAYBE WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM. REST IN PEACE BROTHER YOU WILL SURE BE MISSED. BY ALL...........

My condolences to all family & Friends of Mr Barquist. It's been a long time but I still remember his wisdom & wit as a kid listening to him at the kitchen table. Mr. & Mrs. B did a great job raising all the kids in the northland.

My folks (Norton & Betty)as well as I used to enjoy visiting with Herb whenever we got to attend the Hanifen reunions back East. I, too had an interest in photography and Herb gave me many good ideas.
We both also shared a recent passion for genealogy (although I believe Steve took on some of Herb's latest legwork.)
Montye and I have all the Barquist family in our prayers.

All the time spent at "The Barquist's", a home away from home, is what a lot of memories are made of. It's amazing Herb & Charlotte survived us all. Charlotte, you and Herb will always hold a special place in my heart. May all your memories of your life together bring you comfort and know that my prayers are with you and all of your family.

Memories are a very important part of my life. Herb was a very special person in my life. Especially the time spent as a teenager and on in to my adult years with his kids and his love for a good time. He will never be forgotten. I am sorry for your loss my prayers are with you all.

Ann, I remember how wonderfully tolerant your folks always were of all us kids running in and out of the house, always followed by Snooker and lots and lots of other dogs! I'm so sorry for your loss. I remember your father as a very, very nice man.
