Jeffrey Almont Luerding, M.D., 65, of Riverside, MO passed away suddenly on January 28, 2022. He was born September 24, 1956 in St. Charles, MO to Robert and Shirley Ann (Bizilli) Luerding.
Dr. Luerding graduated high school in St. Charles, MO. He earned his undergrad from William Jewell College, attended the University of Missouri and completed his residency at Mayo Clinic. He spent the last 34 years of his career as a beloved family physician at Gashland Clinic.
Chip always enjoyed sharing a glass of Napa Valley wine with family and friends. He had a great career, many hobbies and special interests, but family and friends were always most important. In addition to Cindy, survivors include four children: Lauren Ashley Luerding (Tyler) of Kansas City, MO, Nick Luerding of San Diego, CA, Hannah Rae Greer (Harold) of Kansas City, MO and Victor Camilo Luerding of Kansas City, MO; four siblings: Lori Collins, Greg Luerding, Todd Luerding and Gina Luerding-Looten all of St. Charles, MO. I just learned of Dr. Luerding passing yesterday and wanted to wish you my condolences. He was such a great Man and Dr. Always had a smile and a sense of humor, mentioned his family often. He was my doctor for 31 years and helped me with multiple things especially when he convinced me to quit smoking 18 years ago. He was the best Doctor I ever had. He will be missed. I am glad I had the opportunity to wish him Good Luck in his retirement last summer when I last saw him last.

Dr. Luerding was one of the best doctors I've ever been to outside of my own dad who was also a family physician. My two now adult sons and myself have been patients of his for 20 years. He would always joke with my boys when they were little which made them laugh. He also always asked about how they were doing in college and how their football careers were going. I told him on one of my final visits with him that he had a wonderful bedside manner and how much I always appreciated the time and care and concern he took with his patients. I just found out today of his recent passing. I'm sorry for your loss. He always spoke highly of his family and was so proud of each of you.

He was a real gem of a man and will be missed.

Dr. Leurding was my doctor ever since I was five years old. He used to make little puppets with the throat sticks and always gave extra stickers. I'm 35 now and have been taking my own children to him from their birth until he retired. He was such a great doctor and nice man. I am glad to have known him and I'm sorry he's gone.

My sincerest condolences to Dr. Luerding´s family and friends. He was mine and my husband´s Dr. for 31 years. He always took extra time with his patients just to talk. He was very proud of his family. I last saw him in August. Knowing he was retiring, I thanked him for being such a great Dr. I´m so glad I had the opportunity to say thank you and goodbye. Rest in Peace, Dr. Luerding. Your light will always shine on for those who knew you.
