JOHN WITCHER Obituary

John David Witcher 59 of Kansas City, MO passed away on January 16, 2015. John was born February 19, 1955 to James David (JD) and Gertrude Ellen (Trudy) Witcher. John attended Southwest High School and upon his graduation enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He was an electrician by trade. John was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by five sisters, Kathy Hinson-Thoelke (Mike), Michaela Witcher, Martha Witcher, Bridget Peck (Dustin) and Mary Smith (Troy), three brothers, Bob (Susan), Dan (Brenna), Pat (Jen) and numerous nephews and nieces. Graveside services will be held on Saturday January 31, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Veterans Gardens, Mt Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Boulevard. A celebration of Life will be held immediately following the services at Bogey's Bar & Grill 12924 State Line Road. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, KCMO or Benilde Hall, 3220 East 23rd Street, KCMO, www.benildehall.org.

We were saddened to hear of Johnny's passing. I wanted you to know that all of my memories of Johnny -- and growing up with all of you -are positive and fun, as they should be! I'm so sorry to hear about John passing away. He was one of my best friends growing up. We had a whole lot of fun together. Later in life, we asked John to be God Father to our first born son. This is sad news!
