Lucinda Stiles Munyan

Overland Park, Kansas - Lucinda Stiles Munyan, age 69, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on August 20, 2024.

She was born in Denver, Colorado, on July 28, 1955. She spent her formative years in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Lake Placid, New York. She graduated from high school from the Forman School in Litchfield, Connecticut, in 1974, and later from Emporia (KS) State University in 1995. She worked as a medical assistant for two decades in her late father's medical practice in Independence, Missouri.

We will miss Lucinda tremendously. She was a kind and brave soul who was loved by family and friends. She was active in Westbrooke Church in Overland Park and in NF Central Plains (Neurofibromatosis Kansas and Central Plains, Inc.). She volunteered for many years at Blessings Abound, a Christian thrift store ministry in Overland Park.

Lucinda was preceded in death by her father, Earl Addis Munyan, Jr., MD. She is survived by her mother, Russell ("Rusty") Stone Munyan; her brother Robert Munyan, his wife Elaine, and their children and grandchildren; her brother Ralph Munyan and his wife Valerie; and her brother Russell Munyan, his wife Carrie, and their children.

A memorial service will be at Westbrooke Church (9777 Antioch Road, Overland Park, KS 66212) on Tuesday, September 3. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 PM – 6:45 PM; light refreshments will be served. The memorial service will begin at 6:45 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made in Lucinda's memory to NF Central Plains, which provides information and support to people with neurofibromatosis. Gifts can be mailed to 9218 Metcalf Avenue, Suite 335, Overland Park, KS 66212.
