Rick Pribyl Obituary
January 5, 1948 - December 11, 2024
Prairie Village, Kansas - Rick Pribyl died peacefully at home on December 11, 2024 after playing a valiant match against nature. Coach Pribs closes the book on a story richly lived, a legend driven by love of family as father and husband, and abundant success as athlete, teacher, soccer coach, and mentor to so many – always with a grin of wit and humor. He leaves behind his brother Ron, seven sons – Skip, Scott, Sean, Shea, Davis, James, and Patrick – and 15 grandchildren.
A celebration of life open house will be held at Rockhurst High School's Barry Commons on January 4th from 11am-2pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Tuition Assistance Fund at Rockhurst High School, 9301 State Line Road, Kansas City, MO 64114. Full obituary at www.mcgilleyhoge.com.

I met Rick at St. Louis University my freshman year. He struck me as intelligent, super-athletic and one of the kindest people I have ever encountered. He was interesting and had a great sense of humor.
The world has lost a good man and kids have lost an excellent leader and role model.
God bless you on your final journey.
