Robert Wagner Obituary

Robert LeRoy Wagner, 71, of Kansas City, MO passed June 30, 2007 at NKC Hospital. He was born and raised in Spickard, MO where he graduated with his bride of 51 years, Lois Jean Rorebeck. He served in the Army for 2 years stationed in Germany. After 37 years working as a carpenter in local 61 union he pursued his passion for cars, Harley's, snowmobiling and travel. In 1979 he began Wheeler Motors used cars in Claycomo, MO and never met a stranger. His friends are scattered across the U.S. from his countless travels, snowmobiling for 10 years in Idaho, riding a Harley down Main street in Sturgis, S.D., writing in the sand on a beach in South Padre Island or hiking through the Red Woods in California. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Esther Cornwell Wagner. He is survived by his wife Lois Jean Wagner, 2 children and family, son, Robin and wife, Gina Wagner; daughter, Wende Wagner; grandchildren, Lindsey and Weston Wagner; sister, Bea Nellenbrugh; nephew, Stanley Harrington and his long time snowmobiling buddy, Ted Sturm, who was like a brother to Bob. He was a member of Tower View Baptist church for 20 years and a current member of McMurry Methodist Church. Bob had always said he had to "hang the moon and drain the ocean". He enjoyed life to the fullest and with his "GitR-Done" attitude; no-one ever forgot "Bob". Services will be held Friday, July 6 at 10:30 AM and visitation, Thursday, July 5 from 6-8 PM at Mt. Moriah Terrace Park; 169 Highway and 108th St. (Arr: (816) 734-5500).

Jean
We just heard of Bob's passing and we cannot tell you how sorry we are. He was a wonderful man and helped us so much, when we bought the house on Meadowbrook. We enjoyed having him come by to see how things were going. Always had a joke or a funny story. We will miss him and our thoughts & prayers to you and your family.

LOIS JEAN, ROBIN & WENDE:

As you know, "Your Bob" was my wonderful Brother & we had a rough time growing up because our Mother died when Bob was 3 & I was 12, but we came out on top & Bob was a really great, caring, honest, "Do anything for you" type of man & was always very thoughtful & in touch with me through the years.

He was a fun loving, hard working, family man & I am so blessed to have had Bob & the family in my life. I Love You all & will miss you the rest of my life, Bob.

Your Loving Sister, Bea.

It makes me sad to think of never seeing Bob and his warm smiles and hearing his funny jokes but in my heart lies all of the happy memories. He will be truly missed by everyone! I will always remember him and the way he used to joke with T.J. and ask him if he had a "snake in his boot". We love you all!!

Dearest Jean, Wende & family,
'Bob-o-bob', as he referred to himself with us, was a wonderful man who we will never forget. He was such a cutie inside & out. :-) It's so true that he was a stranger to no one. He made us feel like we'd known him all our lives. He was an honest man which is sometimes harder to find these days than it was years ago. Our children will never forget that he was the man in the '80s who took our VW & Dodge Dart off our hands when they "died". :-) Every time I saw him at the beauty shop, he'd ask about the vehicle I was driving. What a sweetheart he was. He will definitely be missed. It was so good to read in the paper what an adventurous fun-loving life he had. What a guy! :-) Our thoughts & prayers are with you at this time.
Our love,
Tom & Jeanette Buller and family
